6 days in April

My husband and I will be traveling to Ireland for the first time in April. We are looking to do the highlights and are typically fast-paced travelers. Any recommendations for must-dos in these places?

2 days Galway
2 days Killarney
1 day Cork
1 night Dublin (only to fly out next day)

Are you driving or public transportation? Where are you coming from as jet lag might be a factor.

Why have you chosen these places - what attracts you to them - or is it because they feature on everyone's itinerary?

What sort of things do you like doing? My 'must do' list could be the list from hell for you!

Don't underestimate time taken to get between overnight stops. Driving in Ireland is slow and it will take you a lot longer to cover distances than you might think. If using google maps for working out driving times, it is recommended to add 25% to their times and then add on time for any stops.

With two nights you only effectively get one and a bit full days in a place...

Are you arriving at Dublin airport? Are you coming from North America? If yes to both, upon arrival exit the terminal and take the bus to Galway. Don't try to drive after a trans-Atlantic flight. Spend your arrival day in Galway city and the next day fly or take a boat to one of the Aran Islands. On the 3rd day rent a car and drive to Killarney. Drive either the Ring of Kerry or the Dingle Peninsula (don't do both with such limited time.) Also visit Killarney National Park. Skip Cork unless you have a special reason to be there. Spend the extra day in Dublin after first returning the rental car to either the Dublin airport or, depending on where you are staying, at an agency off either the North or South Circular Road. If you are really fast paced you can add things like Connemara National Park, Skellig Michael, The Rock of Cashel, Newgrange, Glendalough, Powerscourt, Kinsale or Kilkenny (instead of Cork). These are just suggestions since I don't know what interests you.
