My husband & I are trying to decide which village/town would be best to stay before heading up to Donegal. We are cyclists and like to hike, as well as enjoy village-life. We intend to take day-trips, utilizing the town as a "hub". We don't intend to stay in any town for less than 3-nights.
We definitely plan on taking the Sky Road drive and explore Connemara National Park. But, we also want to rent bikes and ride the Great Western Greenway Trail.
Should we stay in Clifden or Westport? Thoughts, suggestions, comments are much appreciated! Thanks!!
