I am spending 2 weeks in Ireland, starting this Saturday. The first week is at a yoga retreat in Clonakilty. Then, I'm traveling with friends for 3 nights/4 days in Southwest IE. We are planning to spend 2 nights in Dingle, visiting either Killarney National Park or Ring of Kerry one day, and Dingle the next (or maybe just 1/2 day passing through Killarney, and 1.5 days in Dingle), then 1 day traveling north, visiting the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren, and overnighting in Galway. The final day with the friends in Galway before they depart out of SNN.
Then I'll have 3 more nights... I'll have a car. Any suggestions? I fly out of SNN, so I think I'l stay in western Ireland.
I was thinking about the Aran Islands for one day... where should I stay?
Any suggestions for the other days in the area?
It can be nice to spend time driving around Connemara including Roundstone.
Good suggestions are in the Ireland Guidebook. With 3 nights in a place the size of Ireland, your options are pretty unlimited. You could even go to Donegal. if you like cliffs and hill walking, the Slieve League cliffs are excellent!
