How to get around? are their Ubers/taxis - how far are these places

Trinity College is in Dublin. Both Malahide (note spelling) and Howth are accessible by train (Dart), https://www.dublinpublictransport.ie/dublin-train-map/, or bus (Dublin Bus),https://www.dublinpublictransport.ie/dublin-bus-map. Howth and Malahide are approximately 30-60 minutes away depending on your origination and mode of transportation. Taxis are readily available to all three places. Uber does not exist in Dublin except as a way to call a taxi.

It all depends where you're staying but both Howth and Malahide are reachable by the DART or a bus and you will be at each within an hour after waiting for trains etc. Trinity is likely walking distance IF you're in the city center. Taxis can easily be hailed on the street or you can use the FreeNow app. You CAN use uber but they'll just send a regular taxi.
