My husband and I have plans to travel for 2 weeks in Ireland next month. We will begin and end in Dublin, also staying in Kilkenny, Kinsale, Dingle, Galway, Derry and Belfast and have rented a car. I am concerned about the possible impact on fuel prices, specifically fuel shortages, protests and blockades on major roads while we are touring and whether we should postpone our trip until things have settled down.. Any replies will be appreciated.
You are not alone in this:

You have only one Life to live! I personally wouldn't cancel a trip I had already planned unless it was a necessity. If Petro is still dear, maybe rent an Electric? Or just be thrifty when you can. We cringe at restaurant prices and tended to eat Pub or Deli food. Or just grocery shop and make your own sandwiches. When you are at your accommodations...walk or take public transportation to entertainment, etc. This will probably save parking fees. Look for free sites and events to visit. Sometimes it is easier to go on a tour to visit famous places and just use the car for longer distances and faraway places. As for forecasting the future...we hope Karma is on our side! Bon Voyage!
