We are traveling to Ireland in June and will be spending 2 days in Dublin. Any recommendations on must sees when we are there?
What do you like to see and do? Art? Churches? music? walking? history?
Love to walk around quaint neighborhoods. Also like historical sights. Maybe even some places to hear fabulous Irish music.
For historical sights I'd recommend the Trinity College walking tour and Kilmainham Gaol (a must see). For music you could try the Musical Pub Crawl based at Gogarity's. It wasn't the best music we found in Ireland, but it was a good introduction. If you enjoy museums the National Archaeology Museum is really interesting.
Agree with recommendation for Kilmanhaim Gaol. We also really enjoyed the Dublin Post Office ~ had a special exhibit on the 1916 Rising.
Brazen Head is pretty cool pub ~ oldest one in Dublin.
We heard better music in smaller towns though.
