14 day Ireland itinerary check please :)

Hi all,

A friend and I are planning a driving tour of Ireland for this summer. I've been before but mainly stuck around Co. Tipperary and the Dublin area. Please let me know if you think this is a reasonable itinerary for two fit, enthusiastic 32 year-olds :)

2.5 days Dublin, then rent a car and drive to Portrush
+ 2 days Portrush for the Giant's Causeway and maybe Fanad Lighthouse?
Drive to Galway via Donegal coast (a long day, right? But too long or??)
+ 2 full days in Galway with a day trip to Aran Islands or the Cliffs of Moher or both
Drive to Dingle via Adare
+ 2 full days in Dingle with a day trip to Ring or Kerry or Dingle Peninsula or both
Drive to Kinsale
+ 1 day Kinsale
Return to Dublin

Going to & from Galway is a little tight but doable. The drive from Dingle & the Ring of Kerry are similar, you may want to skip the Ring of Kerry & spend more time in Kinsale.

Are you flying of Dublin, the same you drive to Dublin? That may be tight.

Thanks for the feedback and advice Mary! Much appreciated! We are flying out of Dublin late in the afternoon on the day we return from Kinsale--too tight? Thanks again,

Something else to consider would be a night between Portrush and Galway or between Kinsale and Dublin if you give up a Dingle night. I thought that the RoK and Dingle Peninsula were both great.
