We'll be staying in Dublin the last 3 nights of our Ireland trip. We will not have a car by then so would like suggestions for central/convenient B&B lodgings. Thanks.
Run, do not walk, to Tinode House! It's about a mile north of the city center, with several city bus lines right there. PJ and Maureen are wonderful hosts, and ambassadors for their city. PJ will assist you with public transportation and any advice needed. We had a delightful visit, and were glad we did not settle for a hotel room.
We enjoyed staying at the Maldron Hotel Parnell Square which had good B&B packages. Nothing fancy. Clean, safe, convenient and comfortable. Bus from airport drops you off 2 blocks away. It is about a 3 minute walk to O'Connell Street and a 15 minute walk to Temple Bar and all the sights. Never needed a car or to pay for transportation unless you want to.
The Waterloo Lodge (www.waterloolodge.com) met our needs quite well. The breakfast was very good and the rooms were great. There is a bus stop right out their front door.
