13 night driving trip

A girlfriend and I are leaving the husbands in USA and embarking on a girls adventure beginning
April 23, 2020. A few questions:
Q1-Flying into Dublin, with one night there (have reservations) then heading to Glendalough and on to Kilkenny for 2 nights (have those reservations). From there we wanted to do Kerry, Dingle, Galway, and Clifden without reservations so we could be more spontaneous. Is that risky that time of year?
Q2- Any thoughts about doing The Drogheda Arts Festival over the bank holiday the first weekend in May. Thinking of staying in Trim or Drogheda (will make reservations for that part).
Any input welcome.

you might consider the bank holiday music and arts festival in Dingle. http://feilenabealtaine.ie/home/ We were there a couple of years ago and it was great, music early each day, art in several locations, all pretty cheap. We did not know about it prior to arriving and wished we had gotten there on Wednesday so we could have enjoyed the whole festival. Now be aware that those bank holidays have many of the locals out for holidays so you may have trouble with your no reservation plan.
