Can anyone recommend a good place to do some biking in Ireland?
Besides Dingle. I would go biking at Achill Island. They have remodel the old railroad track that use to run from Newport to Achill Is. into bike lanes.
That's easy! Nearly anywhere on the West Coast. Or the Northwest Coast. Or the Southwest Coast. Or the Northern Coast - including Northern Ireland. That is, if like me, craggy cliffs, cloud-enshrouded mountains, Gaeltacht (Irish-speaking regions), small towns and villages, wonderful B&Bs, trad music, friendly pubs, ancient historic sites and dramatic scenery appeal to you. If you've got the time, ferry over to the Aran Islands from Doolin in County Clare, then take another to Rossaveel in Connemara. It's the most beautiul part of Ireland. And, a plethora of small, lightly-trafficked back roads and patient, courteous drivers await you.
