Work Remotely From Iceland

The Icelandic government has approved a new plan for remote workers from non EEC countries, and who don't need a visa, to get an extended visa for up to six months. (Americans can now stay up to 3 months as per Schengen rules.) The main catch is you have to prove a yearly income of at least $85,000 is you are single and over $110,000 for a couple.

you would need that sort of salary if you were staying in Iceland, my niece goes there a couple of time a year for work and reckons it is double to 3times the cost of living compared to Scotland

Thank you WorldTraveller! Will definitely look into this...especially since we cannot remote work from our place in Edinburgh.
Sorry Uncle Gus but our extensive experience with Reykjavík and Edinburgh find both equal in terms of cost.
