We are traveling to Iceland in early May for our second stopover experience. It was only last year that we had a great experience during our first stopover doing Rekjavik and the Golden Circle. On this second trip we are planning Westman (Heimaey) Island and something else. Anyone have experience using a private guide, driver or tour that could pick us up at the ferry terminal take us to new sites and then drop us at the Airport? We know that we can get by bus to the Ferry Terminal and back. Seems like a waste to rent a car that would be left parked at the terminal for the overnight that we plan on Heimaey Island. Any recommendations?

This link to Visit Vestmannaeyjar might be useful. The tour services are under Visitor Info accessible from the menu links. There's also a section on getting to and around the island. Looking at the website tells me there's lots more to see and do than there was when we were there.
We did a day trip there way back in 2009 because my husband's great grandparents immigrated from the island to the US.
