I have booked this activity at 10 am on a Monday in mid- May 2025. My question is how long does it take to get there from Reykjavic? I have looked it up and it estimates about 2 hours. How is the road to get there? Any experience visiting this cave? Thanks.

2 hour drive per Google maps from Reykjavik. Do you not trust this?

The road there is fine. It will take you much longer than 2 hours though. We did not go to that cave, but were just a few minutes from it and based on that I would allow at least 2.5 hours. If you have a tour set, I would plan for a bit longer just so you don't miss it. The road is fine, it is paved, but the typical Icelandic road where it is only 2 lanes.

Yes driving in Iceland always takes much longer then what google maps tells you.
