For Iceland, I have been seeing even more than the usual amount of rental car horror stories. We booked our French trip through Autoeurope and the experience went very smoothly. Has anyone used them to arrange an Icelandic rental?

Cynthia, we didn’t use Autoeurope for Iceland because we had a Fly/Drive package that used a local Icelandic company, but have used them many times in Europe. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them in Iceland. You can call them and see who they partner with in Iceland, then compare that with what you have heard, if you’d like. The company we used was Atak, and they were great.
