Hi! We are traveling to Iceland for a cruise, arriving at 7am. Our plan is to stop at the Blue Lagoon between the airport and the cruise terminal. Should we just cab both ways? Will that be super expensive? I know there is a bus from the airport to the Blue Lagoon, but is there one that will drop us off near the cruise terminal from the Blue Lagoon? Thank you for any assistance!
research the bus that stops at the blue lagoon. You can store your luggage at the blue lagoon storage. The same bus company then picks you up from the Blue lagoon and goes to the Bus Station. From there, take a taxi to the cruise port.

Just adding that Dereks advice is spot on. BTW there are several cruise terminals so you will need to make sure to have the address for the taxi. Hreyfill is the one that we have always used as they are trustworthy. Put the app in your phone and you can request a ride. The driver will call you when they arrive.
Our Windstar ship left from the port entirely east of the city, and returned to the city harbor, better known cruise terminal. (Actually, a pierside, not a bricks and mortar terminal. So you find your luggage in the open air.
You have to be prepared for your air travel to be late. It's not usually wise to fly on the same day the ship sails. I agree that Iceland isn't as far as mainland Europe, but it's a place with many fewer airlines and fewer flights, isn't it?
