We are looking at 5-7 day tours of Iceland in late May. Two tour companies keep coming up- Nordic Visitor and Nice Travel. They seem to have very similar itineraries- NV/ Wonders of South & West or NT/ Ice and Fire. I am attracted to the NV one since you can easily add a side trip on a boat to see Puffin Island and Blue Lagoon before or after your tour. It also includes a couple more meals
Thoughts anyone?
I have heard good things about Nordic Traveler but have not personally used them. We have used Nice Travel, Bus Travel Iceland and Troll (a handful of times) and they were all very good.
I would not worry about the meals, but being able to add in excursions will let you experience even more.
Have you considered self driving? Your trip is in May, so you’ll have longer daylight hours and weather should be fairly mild. Self driving there is easy this time of year.
I’ll be there again in late May as well and we are self driving again as well.
We had a great experience with Nordic Visitor. They put together a great itinerary for us and their customer service was great. We do feel like the driving distance recommendations from every site re: Iceland encourages really long drives, and underestimates the time to do them. Blue Lagoon is awesome, as is Sky Lagoon. Iceland is epic, enjoy!
