We signed up for a tour of Iceland offered by an Iceland-based tour company. The usual tip guidance in other countries that I've heard is $5, 8 or 10 / day for each traveler. Does this hold true for Iceland? Thanks in advance!
Are you paying for the tour? If you are, then you don't tip.
Tipping a tour guide in Iceland is not necessary. Most people won't be tipping as it is not a custom to do so. There might be a few Americans who have tips ready for everyone but no one else will.
Don't do it. Aside from not needing to, it may be perceived as a faux pas. The tour prices are set high enough to cover the full cost of labor, and Icelanders are very professional and don't work off tips.
Thank you all for your quick replies!
