Sundhollin Baths

Has anyone been to these Public Baths. I am interested because I don't want to go to the Blue Lagoon.

We have been there a handful of times. It doesn't have the play areas for kids that other local pools have, but they have rooftop hot tubs that are great! Very few people up there too as you have to know how to get up there, and the signs are lacking. In the main area on the main level, there is a huge hot tub that would easily fit 40 or so people. Plus a big pool, and then a very shallow one, maybe a foot or so deep, with a couple little waterfalls in it. The cost is about $8 pp and they have towels you can rent, and lockers that you do not need to bring a lock for.

@mikliz97 Can you share (either here or via private message) how to get to the rooftop hot tubs? We've got two days in Reyjkavik in late March and I've got fantasies about seeing the northern lights from a hot tub. I realize many things will have to align for this to happen, but still...I can dream!

kerry--When you enter from the women's changing room, you first see a very shallow pool with a waterfall. Then the regular pool, and a very long hot tub on the left along the wall. Go to the end of that hot tub and through the doors. You will feel like you are in a wrong area, but keep going. The staircase goes up just one floor, and then take right and just down the hall at the end are the hot tubs. The really long hot tub on the main level though is fantastic to see the northern lights or enjoy snow, if either are happening. It has a wider view that the rooftop ones, but the rooftop ones have very few people up there. We didn't even know about those on our first few visits there.
