Sporting goods/Clothing store Reykjavik

We’re in need of one more long sleeve shirt for our continued travels this week. Any recs on best place to go? We know things are expensive, just want something decent we’ll be apt to wear again, like REI, North Face style. I did a quick search and am unsure… Thanks for any suggestions!

I don't know a thing about Iceland but I am a master shopper. I would personally go to a second hand store. I googled and this seems to be the best one - Rauði Krossinn on Laugavegur, the main shopping street.

I agree with Emily that a second hand store is probably a good option. And for those of you that don't speak Icelandic, Rauði Krossinn means Red Cross, so it's probably easy to recognize the store.

If you look up and down Laugevegar and the downtown area, you will find a plethora of clothing stores. However, this is the prime tourist area and prices will be high.

If you are willing to take a taxi or bus to Kringlan, a large shopping mall just east of downtown, you will find many stores familiar to you. And possibly lower prices.

If you are staying at a hotel, ask at reception. They probably know of places to get good deals considering people working hotel reception are not the hightest paid in the world.

I would head to 66North. I had to do that once for gloves, and did not want to wander around hoping to find a good pair when I lost mine.
