Where is the best place to stay near Glacier Lagoon? We would like to stay close as we only have 1 night so we can tour the ice cave and see diamond beach. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids age 9 and 11. I saw hotel Jokulsarlon, but are there others folks would recommend? Or is Jokulsarlon worth the price?

There isn’t much right near the lagoon. Look for self catering cottages instead. We almost always use booking.com for our lodging in Iceland and they have hotels as well as cottages.

If you go to Google Maps and turn on the hotel filter and start looking around the area, then places like guesthouses and farm stays will show up. It does take a lot of time looking at each one to find information, but at least you'll have more choices.
