Reykjavik City Card

I will be traveling to Iceland this Summer with my family. We will spend one full day in Reykjavik before we start the Ring Road. Is the City Card worth it for one day? I'm not sure how many attractions we could squeeze in one day. I will welcome ideas from experienced Iceland travelers. This is our first time

Our 8th trip there is this August and we have never bought this card as it just has not been worth it to us. Reykjavik is a great city to just wander and see things. Walk to the Sun Voyager, check out Harpa inside and out, go to the top of Hallgrimskirkja, do the Citywalk "free" walking tour (tip at the end), walk up Pufa, do a food tour, get a cinnamon roll at Braud and go sit by the church and people watch, check out all the street art/murals, visit the cat caffe, walk up rainbow road, stop at the Handknitting Association, etc. So you can see there is a lot that is possible, and most of this is very inexpensive or free.

I was there earlier this month for my 5th or 6th visit. I really can't remember.

I have never gotten the City Card. It just didn't seem to pay.
