I am booking a car rental online for a trip coming up in a few months. I'm paying the full amount now. Should I pay in my home country currency or the local Iceland currency? Thanks for any tips!

Always choose local currency, not your home currency (assuming USD or CAD).

Thank you for the info Mary - just one clarification - if I was at the counter in Iceland making the payment I would choose "local currency." If I am in my home country when making the payment online, should I still choose ISK currency as opposed to CAD?

Yes, always choose local currency. When it asks if you want to pay in ISK, hit yes.
