We're traveling to Iceland on Thursday and would like to visit a volcano with someone who can tell us a bit about it. We're thinking of Fagradalsfjall as we're staying in Grindavik for the night.
Does anyone know of a guide or company for a private tour?
(Most group tours depart from Reykjavik and I haven't been able to find one that we could join from Grindavik).

We just returned from Iceland and we hired Gudni Kristinsson ([email protected], www.2goiceland.com) to lead us on a tour like your own from Grindavik and our own pace. We also lists the tour under trip advisor called "Amazing Private Volcano Eruption Tour-at your own pace". We were so glad to have him lead us on this trip, very knowledgeable and enjoys teaching us about volcanos and Icelandic culture.
