Quick question- where would be the best place in Reykjavik to park for a 1/2 day or so and explore the city? Are there plenty of parking areas? How expensive?

There are parking garages as well as street parking. I can't remember the cost, but they have a parking app that works great. The garages I have seen are across from Harpa, so perfect for wandering the main area of downtown. When you approach them, you will see how many available spots there are, so you don't need to wander through only to find there are none available. We have parked on the street a handful of times and never had an issue finding a spot. You may have to drive a block or two, but it shouldn't be much.

Parka is the name of the app. It shows up on my phone as a sort of green/teal color.
