Missing travel guide book

I thought it was an unwritten rule, that books left in public spaces in hotels were up for grabs. I've left many behind on purpose, including guidebooks. .

I have done the same at hotels with a book cove and also in Airbnbs where the owner has provided travel info.

They have an area in tje guest house where people can leave and exchange books, that's right. But ours was pretty obviously not for exchange, so we don't think someone thought it was..

You might try posting in the Iceland forum on TripAdvisor. That has a larger audience.

I purposely left my RS Iceland guidebook and 2 unused Covid antigen tests behind in my Reykjavik hotel. Hopefully, someone found them useful.

You might want to try the Travel Iceland Facebook page. It seems like people who are in traveling in Iceland are very active on that page. There are several other Facebook pages that you might want to post on.
