Hi! We arrive in Seydisfjordur on the ferry from Denmark on July 4 at around 8:30 a.m. We will have several hours to see the town before we take the bus to the next town for the flight to Reykjavik. Is there a safe place to leave our luggage so we won't have to drag it around with us all day? Thanks!
Seydisfjordur is very tiny, so I think your best bet is going to be to ask a hotel if you can store your luggage there. I would email ahead of time to ask, and if they can't do that, then they would be able to give you some guidance for other ideas. You may need to either take your luggage with you or rent a car for the few hours just so you have a place to put it.
Thanks! Your suggestions help. I didn't think about renting a car for a few hours. I thought we could just walk around the town all day and have lunch somewhere. There will probably be a lot of people from the ferry that don't have a car just like us wandering around, too? So excited for this trip! Anything else we should know about the town?
The town is very very small, and the few shops and restaurants will probably be crowded.
Seyðisfjörður Guesthouse says they do luggage storage. So does Hótel Aldan. So does Hótel Snæfell. Just keep looking around.
Thank you so much! I'll look into it.
I found a website called 'whatsinport' and it should have more information about the town.
Thanks for your help! I went to their website and now where else do I want to go? lol

It might actually be worth e-mailing Smyril on [email protected] to enquire about the facilities in the terminal building. You may find that the terminal offers a left luggage facility, or at least they can tell you about one.
Thanks so much everyone! I'm sure we can something out, and we're probably not the only ones! lol
