Luggage Storage in Iceland

Hi,

We will be visiting Iceland after 15th September. As we are traveling further after Iceland, we will have luggage bags, which we don't want to carry it while driving in small rental car.

I can see luggagelockers.is, which provides such service, but when I am looking at their prices and size it is less convenient.
For example - X-Large Locker is 64x57x92cm, which is 213cm in total. Standard airliens bag is 158cm, so it like we can put two bags (one small and one big). It will cost $29 per day. If we take 2 such lockers for 7 days, it will costs above $400.
Other options I am reading on few posts, store with hotels. We are stay in Reykjavík only for one night. Will they still consider keeping our bags with them? What is general norm there, how much do they charge?

Please advice.

The day we checked out, we didn’t have a flight until later in the day, and our hotel kept our bags behind the counter, free of charge. But that was just 2 suitcases, and for just part of a day. I’m not sure if there’s a standard policy among hotels, including cost, if any.

Have you booked a hotel yet, and could you clarify their policy directly with them? If you don’t have lodging yet, perhaps finding a hotel that will provide an acceptable luggage solution will help determine at which place you want to stay.
