The lava is flowing again in Iceland. So far, no effect on flights.

Just saw this on the news when I woke up. Blue Lagoon is closed again. The photos are stunning, but all the people who may be losing their homes is sad.
We heard about this yesterday. I really feel for the people of Grindavik. Their lives have been in upheaval for quite some time and it continues.
There's a great FaceBook page that gives real data and information on location, type and direction of flow, etc. It's called Iceland Geology/Seismic & Volcanic Activity in Iceland. Interesting to see how the berm that they built is working to help direct the flow.
I'm sure about how I feel for the Icelanders. I can't even imagine, but I guess at some level this is their life as they know it given their locale.
I'm not sure how I feel about my upcoming trip. My trip includes Iceland with the volcano activity and Catalunya with the drought. And I guess Paris with the Olympics. Oy vey.
melT--Do not give it another thought. We were there in 2021 and 2023 with the big eruptions and hiked to both. Then last we were there and it stopped hours before we arrived. I would absolutely get on a plane right now and go, knowing I couldn't get close, but even being in Reykjavik would please me, but alas I am not allowed to fly yet after knee surgery.
I'm a big fan of Iceland. I've been numerous times and I may be going back this summer.
Go and enjoy your trip. The last thing they need in Iceland is people canceling because of the volcano. It should very little effect on your trip.
Hello everyone,
I see the FB page for accurate information on Iceland Volcanic activity, I found a site that also gives accurate information for weather and seismic activity it's from the Icelandic Meteorological Office https://en.vedur.is.
