A friend just sent me a link to photos showing the lava as it reaches the parking lot at Blue Lagoon. Those hoping to visit here in the future, may need to hold off on that. The photos are horrific.

I saw photos of this yesterday morning. They have been building berms to try and save the lagoon, and so far those are holding. The car park though is gone.

Jæja :( ......we saw that volcano complex spewing smoke as we took FlyBus from Reykjavik to KEF. Crazy to see the pictures of the Blue Lagoon's parking lot covered in lava.
