Flying JFK-->KEF-->NCE
Arrive @ Gate D & go through Passport control. Do I go through passport control,again, @ Gate A for my connecting flight? Anythiing else I should know about connecting @ KEF

You only go through once. Then just go to your next gate.

Depending on your arrival time, you may find passport control very congested with what feels like 10,000 people, as a lot of flights arrive at KEF around the same time. Many of these people have a short connection so the mood can be stressful. Unless your arriving flight is very tardy, you very likely have plenty of time to transfer as they move a LOT of people through that tiny place every day.
