Can we bring in packages of tuna fish such as Starkist Tuna Creations or simply Starkist tuna?
You min in sealed unopened cans?
No, not in sealed cans but in sealed flat packets.
I would go to the Iceland web site and see what is stated under customs or imports.
Thank you. Several sites with info on tuna are 5 years old or more or site does not work. Will keep trying.
Here is a discussion from last year with links to websites you can check for more updated information:

Yes you can. I had a similar question a couple years ago and wrote to the authorities to ask. Meat and dairy are the big no's.
Wouldn't it be easier to buy it there?
They have Costco -- https://www.costco.is/
I suspect other stores have it as well.
I found my own answer:
The following exceptions apply to personal import of food from third countries (non-EU/non-EEA countries):
Eviscerated fresh fishery products or prepared fishery products, or processed fishery products provided that their combined quantity does not exceed the weight limit of 20 kg or the weight of one fish, whichever weight is the highest
Thank you all for your responses. ks
I believe that is for EU countries. Iceland is not in the EU. Here are the rules for Iceland:
Animal products from outside the European economic area (with a few exceptions) are not permitted.

TripAdvisor Iceland forum has several posters who live in Iceland. They should be able to tell you if you can purchase this kind of food or something similar there. In addition to Costco there are grocery stores with good selections of food.
Yes, meat is not allowed but fish is. The listed sites state that.

The rules apply to the EEA.
oh good. I was just looking for some official sites that the OP could read. The forum is great for opinions, but when it comes to rules, i like to actually see them when possible.
