We are travelling in Germany and the question came up about spending 2 days at the end of our trip in Iceland on the way back to the States. I know that Iceland Air has a stopover at the beginning of a trip with no extra charge, but does anyone know if the same is true in reverse?

When you do a flight search, it gives you options at front or end of trip. You have to put in your starting and ending cities and travel dates, then select departure or return stop over (noted just under the city/date fields). https://www.icelandair.com/flights/stopover/

I should have said that we already have tickets back. I wondered if Iceland air allows you to change your ticket for free after you are already travelling. I would like to fly to Iceland 3 days early and spend those days there but not have to pay for any ticket changes if possible.
