Please recommend any local tour operators you liked for:
1. Blue Lagoon transfers
2. Golden Circle
3. Northern Lights
Thanks for your help! Seeing mixed results from Rick's recommendations in his travel guide on tripadvisor (which is sometimes hard to really judge if honest or a troll).
I used a Grayline tour for the Golden Circle. I had no complaints about the tour. The guide was good. The only negative is that having visited Yellowstone a few times, Iceland's Geysir area can't even come close. That's no fault of Grayline or even Iceland for that matter, it is what it is, and there are many that haven't been to Yellowstone. The other stops were excellent especially Thingevillir. If I had not been traveling alone and there longer, I would have much preferred renting a car, but for this trip the Grayline tour fit the bill.
I've taken a couple of tours with Reykjavik Excursions. Both were good.
I'm assuming one can base themselves in Reykjavik and then take day trips from there?
