I have about 48 hours in Iceland. On one day i will be doing a South coast tour. I would like to do a Golden Circle tour on my last day, which is this coming Saturday, July 14th. However i have a 5:00 flight back to the USthat day and have not been able to find any tours that would get me back in time for my flight. I know I could rent a car and do the tour on my own, however I would prefer to have a guide (either using the guide’s car or a car I rent). Can anyone suggest some guides that i can check with about this? Approximately how much should i expect a guide to cost for this?

Based on some things I have heard, a private guide would be prohibitively expensive. Renting a car, or checking with your hotel once you arrive for alternatives might be your best option.
