Iceland thermal pools open?

I’m planning a trip to Iceland in June 2021, and read that swimming pools were closed due to Covid. Does this also mean the thermal pools are closed?

I just checked blue lagoon’s website the other day and they said they have recently reopened with limited capacity and compulsory reservations. Not sure about other pools, but at least that one is open.

We used Laugarvatn Fontana, which also features sweatrooms and saunas, plus a phenomenal available buffet.

Their Website includes a box to click for Covid policy updates. It currently includes this:

Update 4/13/21 - OPEN - With limitations. As of April 13, Laugarvatn Fontana is now open Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 12 pm and 9 pm.
We're limited to 50% of the original capacity so please be sure to book your ticket beforehand

You could monitor their Website, too: https://www.fontana.is/en

Our trip is in August and just yesterday I was checking all of the thermal pools and every one says they will be open. Of course things may change, but that is what I saw yesterday.

Love the Fontana. Great suggestion Cyn.
We stay in that neighborhood. Easy walking/bus service to everything without having to be in the heart of city.

One possible concern is the current wait time for test results seems to be in the 3-6 hour range from trip reports I've seen, but that could become much longer as the numbers of tourists increase significantly. 24 hours in a room is a long time.
