Iceland: Hotel Reykjavik Centrum

For those who have stayed at this hotel recently, I have a few questions which would appreciate answers so here goes!

  1. Breakfast It is confusing whether breakfast is part of the room price or if you purchase it separately. At the hotel site it appears that breakfast can be included but at another site it is listed as an additional cost.
  2. Also, I see the following: Standard Double or Twin Room Room Only (Pay Later) and
Standard Double or Twin Room Single Use - Breakfast Included (Pay Later)
What am I paying later and what does "Single Use" mean?

  3. If you have had the breakfast, of what does it consist? My traveling partner has many food allergies.

  4. Do the rooms have microwaves. (My traveling partner may need that.)

  5. Are pets allowed? (She also has pet allergies!)
Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

My husband stayed there last summer and we are both staying there again in August. Breakfast is a separate cost unless you book with it included, which of course ups the price. My husband did not have breakfast there. Single use is for one person. I don’t think the rooms have microwaves, but you might email them to double check. I have no idea about pets, so again email them.

I just checked their website. Pets are allowed and the rooms do not have microwaves.

If you look at the hotel on Booking.com it lists the amenities and allowable uses pretty clearly. You don't have to use the site to get you room, it just allows you to see a lot of details. There is a Q&A section that is handy, as well as many photos of rooms https://www.booking.com/hotel/is/hotelreykjavikcentrum.en-gb.html You can also use Booking to search for specific amenities in a room - search for your dates in Reykjavik, once you get the hotel results, microwave is one of the filters under room amenities that you can click on to refine your search. I did a dummy search and all the results were for apartments, not hotels.

And to clarify #2, "single use" means one person is using the room, even though the room could hold more than one person (e.g., a double bed).
