Iceland Air Stopover help!

I understand you can stop over in Iceland on Iceland Air for up to 5 days I believe. I am trying to figure out how to explore this option online without getting help from a travel agent. I am looking at an additional place to fly to in addition to Iceland. I am traveling with my son.

Thanks!

It is almost as easy as booking any other flight on any airline's website. You are essentially purchasing one way tickets. You will choose, round trip, one way, or stopover, and it will prompt you thru it. Before you do a lot of research, scroll thru possible destinations in the Icelandair website. The last I checked, they didn't go to some European destinations.

If you want to do stopover, start here https://www.icelandair.com/flights/stopover/

Put in your departure city and arrival city. A new screen will pop up and ask you what dates you want, and when you want to add your stopover (on the way to or from Europe). You can also choose to return from a different city (open jaw). In some cases you can add up to seven nights stopover- depends on the flight schedule. Flight options will appear after you fill in all the details. You can book excursions through the airline (provided by Reykjavik Excursions, big bus company) or easily book on your own.
