So, I've found a few options for whale watching and Golden Ring tours.

Haven't been to Iceland, but have been whale-watching. My motto is, if you have a chance to whale-watch, do it! I do recommend using some sort of sea-sickness remedy, since, in order not to hurt the whales, they cut the boat's engines, so the boat tends to pitch more. Totally worth it, though!
