How can I easily find the gate for the FlyBus transfer to the Airport KEF
We have no knowledge of the terminal layout.
It is very easy. The terminal is small and there are manned desks. Buses line up out front. You will not have a problem.
Welcome to the forum @drkmcdanielmb!
The BSI Bus Terminal is rather small, with digital screens displaying buses and their destinations, and are frequently updated. There is one main central waiting area in the BSI station. From our very limited experience, buses to/from KEF, and other destinations outside the Reykjavik metro area, load/unload in the rear of the station. Buses to/from destinations within Reykjavik seem to load/unload from the front of the bus station. The BSI staff will also direct you to the correct bus if necessary. They are all friendly and helpful, so don't be afraid to ask them for assistance.
Hope you enjoy Iceland!
There are no gates. There's the front and the back.
The front is where taxis drop off and pick up and where the hotel shuttles drop off and pick up.
The rear is where all the Flybus' are located. There should be an announcement.
When the time comes, you'll see a group of people heading towards the rear door. The waiting area isn't that visible and both the front and rear doors are visible from all areas.
as everyone else has said, it is easy. I remember it being a bit daunting the first time we did it ages ago, but quickly found it was very easy to navigate. If you are coming from your hotel and returning to KEF, you will get picked up at a bus stop in a smaller bus and then taken to the BSI terminal. From there you go through the building to the other side and board a big bus to KEF. The buses have signs very clearly posted in the front window for what their destination is.
If you are coming from KEF and headed to a hotel, it is the opposite, but when you get off the big bus they will tell you which small bus to get on for getting to your hotel.
The terminal is not all that big, and wide open, so you can easily see where you need to go.
Thank you all, our first time to Iceland, we are taking a 5 day tour after we arrive from a cruise and the tour provider is dropping us off at the bus terminal
