We'd like to visit the Thingeyri Viking Village near Isafjordur, Iceland, but can find no way to get there except by car or $320 cruise excursion. Any thoughts?
Isafjordur is very small, population 2,600. You won't find taxis or Ubers there. You'd be doing better with a rental car.
Yes, you would want a car for that. There are a handful of taxis within Isafjordur, but not many at all and the cost would be insane. Compare the cost of a car to the cruise excursion though.
