How best to spend the remaining two days of our itinerary

We are traveling to Iceland for the first time this year arriving on August 29 and departing September 4th. On the day of our arrival we will visit Blue Lagoon and wander around Reykjavik. We are spending August 30-31 doing a 2-day South Coast tour and a 1-day Golden Circle tour on September 1st, but trying to decide how to spend September 2-3. We prefer to do guided tours for a lot of reasons. I have narrowed it down to a few options though I know all involve a lot of time in a van. Option 1: one-day guided Landmannalaugar hike or Landmannalaugar safari jeep tour and then a 1-day Snaefellsnes Peninsula Tour. Option 2: a 2-day either Snaefellsnes Peninsula Tour or 2-day Snaefellsnes Peninsula/West Iceland Tour or Option 3: 1-day Snaefellsnes Peninsula Tour and then on second day trying to take bus to Mount Esja or somewhere else nearby to Reykjavik and do a hike and then just hangout more in Reykjavik. Thanks in advance for your thoughts and suggestions.

If this were me, I would go with option 1. Snaefellsness is stunning, and then getting off to a remote area to hike is really nice. In all of our trips to Iceland so far, we have not made it to Landmannalaugar, so I can't comment on that. However if you are up for it, I can highly recommend going to Thorsmark for hiking. The Volcano Huts are nice to stay in (very basic/rustic but clean and comfy) and we loved the hiking there. If you do Thorsmark, there is very little time on the bus to get there, which is nice.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask or pm me. I am heading out on our 7th trip there in a few months.
