Help with itinerary - feedback welcome

Traveling to Iceland in mid January. Trying to see as much as we can. Any tips or suggestions on this itinerary? ANything important missing?

Arriving at 6 am on Day one - See as much of Reykjavik. Evening Northern Lights Tour

Day 2 - Take a 2 day tour (with Artic Adventures) to Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss, Reynisfjara Beach, Vik, overnight in Skaftafell area

Day 3 - Jökulsárlón lagoon, Diamon Beach, Ice Cave, Skaftafell Nature, back to Reykjavik

Day 4 - Golden Circle Tour and Sky Lagoon

Day 5 - Lava Tunnel, Reykjavik, head to airport for 7pm flight

Is the 2 day trip worth it? I think it will cut down on the driving out and back to see as much of the sites as we can?? Any feedback is appreciated.

Yes, the 2 day trip is definitely worth it!

If you are coming from the US, you might have a very hard time staying awake for the NL trip that first night. Plus you will need to be up very early in the morning for the 2 day tour, so you may want to rearrange that. You could do the NL tour on day 3 depending on what time the tour gets back to Reykjavik. Otherwise you have the night of day 4.

I highly recommend the "free" Citywalk walking tour for your first day. It is a great way to learn about the country/city as well as to stay awake that first day. Another thing we have enjoyed on the day of arrival is the food tour. There is enough food for both lunch and dinner, so it is actually quite cost effective if that matters to you.

Don't return to Reykjavik on Day 5 unless that's where your tour takes you. The airport is 45 minutes from downtown Reykjavik and costs $$$.
