Hi everyone,
I will be traveling to Iceland the middle of January, and I am keeping my fingers crossed that the blue Lagoon will reopen by then. Part of our five day trip is to do a full day of GOLDEN Circle. I’m wondering if anyone knows if they are still doing that tour. If two of my five things on the list to do are not happening, I may consider rebooking.

The Golden Circle tour is still operating. it is far from the volcano that just erupted. If the BL is not open by the time you get there, the tour company will make amends somehow. I would email them now though and see what they are doing in place of that. They ,ay very well substitute BL for Secret or Fontana which are both in the Golden Circle, or Sky which is in Reykjavik. I would not rebook at all, as even without BL, Iceland is amazing in the winter! We have been 3 times in winter, and head back Feb. 1 again.

Reykjavik Excursions (big bus) and Your Friend in Reykjavik (small bus) currently show many dates in mid-January for Golden Circle tours. Have you already booked a tour? If so, the tour company is going to be the best bet on confirming activities. While true the Blue Lagoon may be closed, as noted by prior poster there are other similar options, and some might argue they are more "authentic" than the BL.
As you get closer to your travel dates, check the aurora forecast to see if the clouds and sun activity will provide northern lights viewing opportunity. https://auroraforecast.is/
