Food and Transportation in Seydisfjordur Iceland

We will be in Seydisfjordur in May and are wondering about anyone's recommendations on food/restaurants in the area. Also, are there any transportation services in Seydisfjordur, local taxis or Uber? Thanks in advance

I think you're overestimating the size of Seyðisfjörður. There are two restaurants to choose from that are open all year, and four that are open in the summer. I don't know if they consider May to be summer.

No taxis available, and why would you need one when everything is within walking distance? There is a bus route to Egilsstaðir and a ferry to the Faroe islands and Denmark, that's the transportation available in Seyðisfjörður as far as I know.

There is no Uber in Iceland at all. Seydisfjordurs population is only about 700 people, so a tiny town. You can walk everywhere. As for restaurants, I can't help with that as we have only stayed in a self catering cottage there, so cooked for ourselves. I would look at Tripadvisor for restaurant listings and then see what looks good to you.
