We are going to be in Reykjavik for the start of Greenland Cruise and arriving a few days early. Interested in the South Coast Day Tours and want small group. The Company, Your Day Tours, seems to have good reviews. NiceTravel and GeoTravel have similar tours with similar sizes. Anyone with experience with any of them? How far ahead should we book? The trip is in August. We already have everything else booked. It is our first trip to Iceland and second to Greenland.

Nice has a good reputation as does Your Day Tours. I personally like Troll.is as they too do small groups. We have used them a few times for excursions where a guide is required and they have always been excellent, FWIW.
Absolutely book whichever you choose NOW. August is high season and things sell out fast.
We will be back in Iceland in August as well, our 8th visit, and going to Greenland before that:)

I've done the GeoIceland tour to the South Coast. It was a small mini bus tour. Great guide, wifi on the minivan, decent pace. I went in late October so the daylight hours were minimal (sunset around 5 p.m.). It is a VERY long day so just prepare yourself for that (9-10 hours). And as noted in prior post, you should select and book immediately for August. It's possible you may have to choose a company based on availability instead.
