Eating in Keflavik or Reykjanesbaer

Can anyone recommend a restaurant for dinner for our last night in Iceland? Authentic Icelandic fare and worthy of our last night?

We had a very good lunch last Rostin in Gardur last summer.

Another option, if you are up for it, is at the Northern Light Inn in Grindavik. Their restaurant Max's, is excellent. The hotel is pretty darn good too! We have stayed there on two of our trips and love it.

Is the volcano still a problem for Grindavik? I know they were being evacuated earlier this year.

It comes and goes. Just stay on top of the announcements. Right now they are saying there is an increased liklihood of an eruption in Grindavik itself in the next 2-3 weeks. But anything can happen. With Iceland, you always have a plan b no matter what though.
