If you had a choice - which day tour would you choose: Snæfellsnes Peninsula or the South Coast? Troll Tours or NICE Travel Tours? We already plan on doing a Gold Circle day tour with one of the 2 companies. Thx, Jim S., Chicago

I did a South Coast tour and enjoyed it, but it is a lonnnnnng day of driving. I went in late October and daylight hours were limited. I've not used either of those tour companies, but my South Coast tour was with GeoIceland. Good guide, nice small bus.

I have used Troll for a number of day tours and they are excellent. I hear good things about Nice as well, but have no personal experience. I adore Snaefellsness, and one really nice thing about it is that it is far less crowded than the south coast. Snaefellsness is sort of a mini Iceland as there is a wide variety of things to see in a smaller more concentrated area.
The GC is fine, but if this were me and I was doing 2 separate day tours, it would be the south coast and Snaefellsness, FWIW.
