Hi all, we (5) are flying Chicago to Copenhagen with a connection at KEF 1 hour 20 minutes. I’m seeing lots of info on stopping in Iceland but nothing about connections. Have posted in Denmark forum as well. Thanks for any input,
Deb
One post is usually enough. What are you wondering?
(There are also direct flights from Chicago to Copenhagen.)
If it's on Icelandair, it's fine. We did it yesterday in less time than that.
Thank you! Not going until early June but just like to be as prepared as possible! Taking daughter and 3 grand girls….
Almost everyone is making a connection. That’s their business and they are very good at it. Don,’t worry !
Thanks, I’d normally want 3 hours to get through passport so I appreciate the positive comments from those in the know!
Badger, am I missing another direct flight from Chicago? This isn’t until next June but I’m only seeing one out of Chicago. Thanks!
SAS has a nonstop from Chicago to Copenhagen but as of now, it costs three times as much as a flight on Icelandair.
Ask for connection time, Icelandair are pros at this. Not to worry.
Thanks all!
Icelandair's niche is connecting flights, so if they say it can be done it probably can be done. But it might also depend a bit on how old the girls are, with smaller children a bit of extra time can be useful.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean, but SAS has daily direct flights from Chicago to Copenhagen.
Thank you, the girls are between 8 and 15. I’m seeing only one direct flight per day (as of next June) on SAS at 10 pm. That’s why I’m looking for an alternative option. Thanks for all the positive reinforcement!
