Concern over Iceland strikes?

I haven't seen any mention of the strikes going on in Iceland now; there were strikes going on in several hotels and fuel truck drivers. Icelandair has canceled several packages but as of now hasn't been canceling flights. Today the Confederation of Icelandic Enterpris (basically the bosses) approved a work ban on Efling (union) workers -https://icelandmonitor.mbl.is/news/news/2023/02/23/work_ban_on_efling_members_confirmed/ (there's more information about the ongoing strikes in an earlier article https://icelandmonitor.mbl.is/news/news/2023/02/20/propose_a_work_ban_on_efling_union/

The work ban goes into effect on March 2nd. No idea how long it will last, hopefully not long.

I'm supposed to be going to Iceland with my family late in the month. And then traveling to the UK and France, where there are also ongoing strikes. Feels like we've picked the worst time to go (very glad I got the travel insurance!).

Is this affecting anyone here? If you're traveling soon I'd check with your hotels to make sure they're accepting guests.

There are several Icelandic locals on the Tripadvisor forum that have been giving updates on the strike. That might be your best bet as for more accurate/up to date information.
