We'll be in Reykjavik on Commerce Day. Does anyone know the extent to which sights in the city are closed for the holiday?
I have not been there then but have researched it and it appears to be a bank (public) holiday, with most sights and shops open (for example, Settlement Exhibition, National Gallery, Saga Museum are all open every day in the summer). It sounds like a lot of people head out of the city to to various places for festivals, but there should be plenty to do in Reykjavik at that time.
Wonderful - thanks for the help!
